Once again, a team from Garibaldi International Trading returns to the FRUIT ATTRACTION International Fruit and Vegetable Fair in Madrid, at the IFEMA exhibition center.

Fruit Attraction is very important to us because it allows us to exchange experiences and knowledge with all the agents and stakeholders involved in the production, distribution, and export of fresh fruit, vegetables, organic products, legumes, nuts, and quality designations.

We spent a few days of frenetic activity, teamwork, product presentations, attending industry talks and conferences, and meetings with European and non-European clients, for whom an event of this nature is an opportunity to meet firsthand those with whom they collaborate throughout the year.

A globally consolidated fair

Fruit Attraction closed its sixteenth edition with historic results, consolidating its position as a key platform for the marketing of fresh produce in Europe and globally. With 117,370 professionals from 145 countries—a 13% increase in attendees—and 2,201 exhibitors of 59 nationalities, the fair covered an area of 70,254 m² in 10 pavilions, increasing both parameters by 10% compared to 2023.

Spain accounted for more than half of the exhibition space (55%), with producing autonomous communities such as Andalusia (guest region), Valencia, Murcia, Madrid, Catalonia, and others such as Aragon, Extremadura, La Rioja, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Navarre, the Basque Country, Galicia, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, and Asturias. The international segment grew in presence (45% of the space, +22.5%) and visitors (49%, +24%), with significant participation from Europe—Italy, France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and Germany—and also notable visitors from Peru, Chile, South Africa, Morocco, and Brazil.

The event strengthened its international reach thanks to the International Guest Program, which attracted 700 key buyers from 70 countries, with China and Saudi Arabia as invited importing countries. Regarding the star product, the avocado took center stage: workshops, demonstrations, and the Global Avocado Congress (400 attendees), as well as the Walnut and Pecan Congress (100 participants), reinforced its relevance.

In 2024, Fruit Attraction cemented its position as a driving force in the global fruit and vegetable business, combining innovation, internationalization, and exhibition power in a booming format.
